8 Hour Tan
An 8-hour airbrush tan, on the other hand, follows a more traditional development process. After the airbrush application, clients need to allow the solution to remain on their skin for a full 8 hours (or overnight) before rinsing it off. During this time, the tan gradually develops, reaching its full color potential after the recommended 8-hour period. This type of tan typically offers a longer-lasting result compared to rapid tans and may be preferred by clients who have the time to allow the tan to develop fully.

Rapid
This type of airbrush tan is formulated to develop much more quickly compared to traditional tans. Depending on the specific product used, a rapid airbrush tan can typically develop within 1 to 4 hours. After the development time, clients can rinse off the solution, and the tan will continue to deepen over the next several hours. Rapid airbrush tans are ideal for clients who need a quick tan solution or who may not have the time to wait for a traditional tan to develop fully.
